So what makes the best dog crate? What is the best bed? Since your pup’s comfort is important, it is imperative to put some thought into this.
Whenever you are looking at getting a pup–or dog–you are actually looking to make a lifelong commitment. With that in mind, like I explained in a previous post, think about what you want, why and make a list. Then do some research. Browse online, in books, ask folks that own a specific breed you may be considering. You can send me any questions you have as well!
Play time can be so much more than just fun and something to occupy or tire out your dog. The very same moves, and toys, that you use playing with them can be implemented in their training. There are some specific play methods that also develop your relationship deeper and build focus in your pup. These are even good ways for correcting dog behavior.
No matter what breed, rescue, age, or purpose for your new four-legged companion, dogs thrive on what is fun for them. It keeps them motivated, focused and makes for an all-round healthy pup and pack. Having fun with them also keeps you–the pack leader–motivated, reduces stress, and keeps the relationship quite rewarding.
