When Vultures Circle

My husband is one of those strong, sweet guys that pretty much always has a smile, kind word, or at least a funny one, and does his best to be accommodating. Anyone who has known him for more than a few minutes loves him. Whether it was playing ball, or on an orthopedic medical team in the past, he could always be counted on. Gosh, even though I have always been a “DIY” aficionado, being married to Jamie has made me a bit lazy with at least a few things! When a guy like that starts having debilitating difficulties, I think folks freak out more easily. What’s worse is when vultures start to circle a guy like that, on whom is he to depend? Praise God for the surety of Christ.

Reminicing…

When Jamie and I were getting to know each other it was truly difficult to not be taken in by him. Me being the serial skeptic, especially when it comes to people, I was always waiting for the inevitable “catch” to every act of kindness I witnessed of him. Only out of great caution, though. At least once a week I could feel the Holy Spirit nudge deep within me and let me know he is truly that sincere. What makes him even more adorable is the fact that he doesn’t see how unique he is! In his mind, it is simply right to do what is right and should not take a whole lot of thought. Right? I was a bit dumbfounded at times watching him because I am that way as well, but it was strange witnessing it. For instance, I walked into Home Depot to clock in with my contractor on blustery day in November several years ago. He was standing there talking to the cashiers. Another walked in and he immediately asked her, “So, do you have heat?” Assuming he meant in her car, she said she did not. They went back and forth for a bit, Jamie getting more and more irritated at the idea her boyfriend did not help her fix the problem, but remained pleasant. Then he sweetly demanded her keys and went outside to the parking lot. About ten or so minutes later, he returned, nose running and red from the cold, tossed her the keys and said, “You now have heat.” Flashed that OMG smile and added, “I told you to tell that boyfriend of yours it was an easy fix!” And went on to get his work done.

Some things are so simple, yet can have profound impact. Ya know? He barely knew the girl and only at work, but cared enough to face the freeze and fix her car.

As we got to know each other and he finally began to realize I was sweet on him, so many of the conversations we had just drew me in more and more. It quickly got to the point I could not get him off my mind. He drove me crazy without even being around! Gosh… I could go on and on. But the point is he is simply a genuine, sweet guy that is always there to help. What he is going through now, I hate to image if he was alone in this. If he and I were not together and he had to fight off vultures while at the same time fighting to live…. Shit. I do not even want to imagine that. I praise the Lord Most High we have each other.

Vultures

Now, I think actual vultures are magnificent birds with a critical purpose in the grand scheme of life. I truly mean them no offense. But we all know when we see vultures circling in the sky, repeatedly over a certain area, there is some animal close to death below. They keep watch, waiting to land and feast upon a fresh body. Some will even land and poke, maybe even tear at the flesh a bit to help the dying animal along. Though there are many varieties in many areas of life that qualify as “vultures”, for our purposes here I’ll stick to using that for medical establishment people so it doesn’t get too confusing 😉

It is not unreasonable to expect that if someone puts his/herself out there as a medical professional, that would mean their intentions are to help you heal. Make sense? For many reasons that I won’t go into here, that is not the case in the good ole’ USA. What’s worse is the medical establishment vultures chuckle, get dismissive or flat out say stupid things when natural, traditional remedies–even cures–are mentioned. I had a doc say to me just today that she deems that naturopathy the same as “voodoo”. Yet another doc, who presents as a Functional Medicine professional (another version of holistic) told me that it is not important from where substances are derived. In her opinion, “as long as it’s bio-identical…” it is the same.

And yes, that also was just today. We’re surrounded by insanity.

I’m not sure if many agree with this and, frankly, at this point I truly do not give a damn. To say that a substance developed in a laboratory, synthetics and chemicals, is “the same” as what God created and grows naturally is just plain stupid. Period. Usually I make room for our differences and am much more polite, but I am done being nice.

So, my wonderful husband is in the hospital yet again and the vultures circle almost continually, pushing their insanity. On June 6th Jamie had another appointment–a follow up with internal med. At that appointment he was in such bad shape we asked the doc to admit him. She agreed. He has been there since, and it’s now June 15th.

So, what happened?

Where we left off in the last post was a summary of what is wrong with him. Let me share a bit more detail, if you will, about how it’s being handled and the effects thereof.

On April 25th, as noted previously, the homeopath insisted he go to the ER after seeing his lab work. The ER was brutal and…ummm… I’ll just for now say quite unskilled. But they finally got a catheter in and, sometime later, notified nephrology (kidney docs).  The morning of the 27th, he had stents placed in each ureter (tubes leading from kidneys to bladder). So much damage had been done from being backed up for months that no one was certain initially what would come of it all. Of course, from the outset, there were docs here and there pushing the “need” for a transfusion. Supposedly that would boost his hemoglobin, which was dangerously low. But his body responded and began, ever so slightly, to improve.

Mind you, none of this really affected his appetite, going to the gym, playing with our dogs, visiting his parents a few days each week or even going to work. They drained over 2 liters out of him on April 25th, mind you, but he was still very active in spite of it all. We found out the back up was due to two kidney stones preventing full elimination.

Jamie, May 4th, 2024. Five days out of hospital.

Anyway… So, he got discharged from that hospital stay on April 29th. His hemoglobin was still low, but came up to 7.4. He had the stents and a foley (a portable catheter/bag). In spite of the brutality of the ER, he was starting to feel better. All things considered. I almost had to hog-tie him to get him to rest at home for a couple days. That first afternoon, he was playing with the dogs in the yard. He stayed home only two days and went back to work. That weekend he did lawn work, worked out at the gym and visited his parents. For two weeks he improved and was enjoying life.

We returned to the homeopath to begin the cancer treatments just a couple days after returning from the hospital. And, I cannot stress this enough, he was already back to doing all that he enjoys each and every day. That is, until we went to the voiding trial (VT) appointment. For now I’ll not go into gory detail, except to say that the APRN-CNP (nurse) in the urology department that day was an incompetent bitch. There are “industry standards” and common sense, but then “…there is a way that seems good to men.” Two days later my husband almost died in the ER. He has not been right since.

“A way that seems good…”

“There is a way that seems right to man, but its end is the way to death.” Proverbs 14:12

There are so many things in life that do not make any sense to me. It’s not that I do not understand the reasoning of such things. It is just that it simply does not make sense. Even their supposed “logic” makes no sense. Many of these many things tend to circle within the medical establishment. Like I mentioned in the previous post about giving a man with acute kidney injury crap that is known to cause kidney injury. It’s like making food for a hungry person and letting them know there is poison in it, but it will fill their belly.

IT MAKES NO SENSE.

That sort of stuff. Ya know? And I hear all too often so many folks–professionals and others alike–say stupid shit. Such as, “Well, it (the injurious side effects) doesn’t happen all that often.” Or give some song and dance about how the supposed “benefit outweighs the cost.” Give me a freakin break with your stupid shit. Oh! Like blood transfusions… Oh my. I could explode on that one. Not only are most vultures dismissive and even edgy when we tell them we do not want blood from someone we do not know and who may have gotten that sham vax (c19). I don’t put it like that usually, but they terrify a guy who is in bad shape, hurting and bed-ridden for over a week, telling him “his only choices” are dialysis and/or transfusion. Come again? Folks, those are NOT the “only” choices. But they pressured him and he finally agreed to the transfusion by the second evening he was in. When I walked into the room he was already signing the release, which he could not have read in his condition and without his glasses. Of course, I read the release before he gave it to the doc. The release/consent form plainly states that you agree to, essentially, absolve the hospital (and docs,  etc) from any liability if you contract something like AIDS, hepatitis, “or other diseases or blood impairments.”

Seriously? How does the perceived benefit of a transfusion outweigh that? !! And then I discovered that a transfusion is only a temporary boost, and even that is a maybe. So, get this straight folks. The vultures press upon a patient this product as his “only” route to raise his hemoglobin and save his life. But not only do they refuse to guarantee the cleanliness of the product, they want the patient to accept all risks of the product they push. There is really no way to write this so that it makes even a bit of sense. Really.

I crossed out that paragraph, initialled it and handed it back to the doc. He was quite befuddled and after almost an hour on the phone with the legal team, said they cannot accept a partial consent. So, I turned to my husband and asked him if he is willing for such a risk. He said nope. And I kept the consent form and there was no transfusion.

That is only one example of how the vultures are trained and tethered to the Board and legal team. They are not happy at all when their perceived authority is challenged. And oh, how most of them hate to hear anything about natural treatments and the beauty of how the body works. Such as the fact that Moringa and Nettle have successfully healed severe kidney and urological issues, as well as a plethora of other benefits–even to shrink an enlarged prostate. In fact, Moringa specifically is known to help the body boost hemoglobin production.

There are so many people suffering needlessly all because the establishment vultures believe the lie of, “Well, there is no solid research to support the use of…” nutrition, herbs, homeopathy, other natural therapies. Liars. They get more aggravated when I politely tell them, “Except the many hundreds of years these things were used exclusively.”

In short, one of the kidney docs told us yesterday (Friday, 6/14) that with how things are, “without dialysis at some point”, he would not expect Jamie to live past three months from now. To that I say, you obviously do not know our God or His creation.

Pause

Here I must pause and say that we do have at least one doc that was honest enough to tell us he knows nothing about the natural stuff, but wants to help us the way we want to do things. He actually looked into at least Moringa, but did admit he would have to study it further. Too bad his hands are tied by the hospital board, who won’t even let the homeopath come treat the cancer. So, on top of damn near destroying my husband, the cancer is growing too. And they will keep him at least until this coming Friday (6/21).

No naming names at this point, but I do have to share that I asked that same doc (the helpful one) something I believe is absolutely telling. I asked him to help me see if I understand this correctly and said, “Pretty much all the chemical stuff you are giving Jamie is hard on the kidneys. Is that correct?” He thought about it for a moment and agreed. I definitely am very grateful for this doc’s sincerity.

I must also share that there are several folks who work at this hospital that have been quite a joy to share this time with. It is such a quagmire of thoughts to wrap my mind around. We do have many genuine folks in the medical industry that are there because they do care. I do believe that. At the same time, I am a firm believer that if you truly care, then do your best to be well informed so that you can be your best at what you love to do. All that to say that I have come to be quite fond of the more respectable folks that are attending to my husband. God bless them.

Muddy waters

So, again folks… The shit they are doing makes absolutely no sense. The doc admitted that the stuff they are giving him can harm his kidneys… But they continue to give it to him. Absolutely disgusting and frightening at the same time, eh? To make matters worse they gave him white table sugar for his iced tea. Let me repeat… They gave white table sugar–lots of it–to a cancer patient. Even uneducated folks know that cancer loves processed sugar. We put an end to that.

To muddy the waters even more, add all the people who spout stupid stuff like, “Well, at least he’ll get _____ (fill in blank with whatever perceived good)” in reference to the chemical crap (etc) they’re giving him. “At least”??? WTF? Shame on you people. What happened to at best? What happened to being motivated by doing our best to do our best in all that we do??

Jamie does. That is the biggest reason why so many people over many years love him so. He always gave his best to the best of his abilities to all. And I will continue to fight every half-assed vulture on the face of this planet until someone is willing to do the same for him.

Good news

Now the good news! Persistence and standing your ground can get quite infuriating, but pays off. Since Jamie was admitted on June 6th he has gained at least 10lbs, and all his numbers are moving in the right directions. Ever so slowly, but his body is responding. Trying to heal, in spite of the garbage they call medicine that they are giving him. Thank God we were able to limit what they give him (mainly synthetic “vitamins” and stuff I’ll explain later) and just give him time. He is not out of the proverbial woods yet, but the doc expressed a bit of surprise yesterday and the vultures have moved on for the most part. One of them even said today that she expects his kidneys to recover, after looking at his recent lab work.

So there 😛 And yes, I will gloat. I have absolutely no claim to perfection and definitely do not know it all. But I have a trust in the Lord our God, His design and the common sense He gives even this silly ass.

And I cannot wait to get him home, help him get all that crap out of his system and give him the good, clean stuff made from Creation that his body really needs.

There is so much more to share, but I will leave this here for now. We are already well over 2k words and I know y’all have life to do. It is my prayer that you each think about the stuff you are told about health, in particular, and wellness. It is clear to me that disease takes a hold of a body that is lacking. Deficient in some thing or things that it truly needs. Where a deficit is created, disease will establish. That is quite different from what the majority are told all your lives. And definitely in opposition to what the medical industrial complex would have us believe. But I encourage you to really look into and question it all. Your life literally depends on it.

Lastly, for now, thanx so much and I praise the Lord for each and every one of you that has gotten this far reading my endless babble 😉 Please, put a note of encouragement for Jamie below. I promise I will read them to him and provide any response he gives. {Donation link deleted 12/9/2024.}

Stay tuned. The next post will be what we are searching to do for his full healing. God-willing, it will also help some other folks out there! God bless!
