Back to the Dogs

Many years ago, I think it was 2018? Years ago I started APupStop to help folks with their own dogs. I was so frustrated with watching dogs drag their people down our street and listening to ridiculous “training advice” spewed from the latest trends. There are some key points left out of most popular training. So much that is critical for the common dog owner to understand, such as Pack Leadership, that it should be no wonder why so many people are having such difficulties with their pooches. Ug! And then there is the cost. Oh my! Anyway. Those are a couple of the issues that instigated me to start this site years ago. Last year I became a bit sidetracked with posting about Jamie, my husband, particularly when he was hospitalized in June (2024). In fact, I created an entire category for posting about his progress, what we were doing for him, etc. You can find that at In His Image. Now that he has gone to be with our Lord, I figure it’s past due time I get back to the original purpose of this site. I do want to let everyone know, however, that I will continue to write about my beloved (Jamie) on our sister site, Uncommon Knowledge. I have another blog there that deals more with personal stuff and political/social issues. But for APupStop, let us get back to the dogs, shall we? 🙂

New Stuff!

Enjoy a relaxing cerebral exercise with this custom puzzle, featuring my original Winter Cardinal (which I drew for my mother many years ago).

There are some new things we added to the Patriot Pup Shop, as well as made a few changes to make things easier and more secure. I hope you take some time to pop over there and find something for your pup, a loved one or treat yourself. I will be adding, what I call, “garage sale” items soon as well. That’s just gently used stuff that is still in great shape.

Also, talking about our sister site (Uncommon Knowledge), lots of newness going on there. Last summer I transferred the site from Zoho back here to WordPress. Nothing really wrong with Zoho. In fact, they have a pretty great system. I am just more familiar with WP and wanted all my stuff in one place as I revamp my business. Well, during the transition the blog at Uncommon Knowledge lost all the photos 🙁 So, I have to reformat and replace them in the 33 posts I have there. I put all those in an Archive. They’re readable, but please be patient whilst I painstakingly fix the matter.

Many thank yous

Many thanx go out to any who tread around here, if even once in a great while. Anyone that manages a website and blog on their own knows that it takes a lot to be consistent in providing a favorable experience for readers. We do this usually with little to no encouragement. Far too many folks prefer to be entertained by video clips nowadays and fail to see the importance of balancing that with reading. There are parts of our brains we use while reading that are not used otherwise. I not only prefer to write, but you can also see it as me doing you a favor 😉 to help you get some cerebral exercise!

So do me a favor back and please come back often, comment and subscribe, here and at Uncommon Knowledge. (Please find subscribe button at the bottom of any page. Or you may encounter that annoying pop up, asking you to subscribe, as you try to read one of my posts.) It is very encouraging to gain subscribers and interact with readers. And we have some great stuff prepared to be unleashed in the coming days and weeks! Now let’s get back to the dogs!!
